This review will obviously contain spoilers. I'm updating this section as I play the game, and there is really only a little bit of game instruction in this review. I am also only going through the Japanese version of the game, and do not plan on reviewing the English version. I'm not really intending for it to be a FAQ/Walkthorough page, nor a translation summary of the game. More just like... a review written in "blog forum;" me having some fun and writing down a few thoughts as I go along. ^_^

Dad REALLY oughtta fix that foor...

So this is me. The guy on the left, I have no idea. He's just some random guy in the picture*. Anyhow, this is how it all started. I was supposed to get something for my dad from the old storehouse. Instead, I ended up... somehow... falling through a strange hole in the floor and ended up in the SENGOKU JIDAI, of all places!

(*note: the "random guy" is actually the other charater you can play. I just chose to be the girl character in this game.)

He's got... GOT DOG EARS?!

As I was trying to find a way to get home, I was attacked by what looked like a monster. Suddenly, this mysterious light surrounded me. I thought I was dead. Instead, though... I met this strange boy. With dog ears.

I wonder if he's the one who saved me...

He keeps calling me "modern girl," (he says I'm from gendai), though.

Run, Inu, RUN...!!!

He thinks maybe his friend Kagome can figure out what the heck's going on around here.

The village...

And here's Kagome. So far she seems really nice. Inuyasha (that dog-eared boy) seems to be a good-hearted person himself, if not a little rude. But hey, they were nice enough to show me around.

I think...

Inuyasha is SUCH a dork!!!1

So they take me to the "Bone-Eating Well," thinking maybe it will send me back to my time. Who the hell would want to jump in a well that's full of creepy stuff like that?? Inuyasha is such a dork. He pushes me in...

...and that's how we find out that the well doens't work for me. :P

(*note: You'll notice I used the name "Kuro" for my character. Heh-heh.)

Ye will go and... talk to the villagers!

And Kaede-obaachan took us to her place and told us about the Bone Eater's Well.

I like her. But she told me not to mock her crappy English dubbing.

...haha.

(*note: No, this does not mean the game has an English language option, this is just an old joke.)

So this is as far as I got in the game before I got too tired to go on. Hey, it was late. ;) Anyhow, hopefully I'll be able to continue this little blog thingie, although as I've said before... I have a horrible habit of not finishing the games I pick up. But anyhow. This is where it all begins!

My initial impression of the game? It's gonna be cute. Then again, the sprites themselves just reek of cuteness. So we could be, like, gushing blood and I'd still think it's cute.

And do you know how absolutely COOL it is to, like, have Kappei Yamaguchi's voice talking to "you?" Oo... ultimate fangirl moment here. :P Of course, one of the first things he says is, "What's your problem, woman?" (or something like that... I can't quite remember). But anyhow...
