...did I mention I HATE SPIDERS?!

Well, it's always nice to help people out. The villagers in Akebi were being plagued by a spider youkai. Once family in particular, had a child who was kidnapped. So what do we do?

WE GO AND BECOME THE DO-GOODERS WE ARE! WHEEEEEEE!!! But I hate spiders... -_-

Inuyasha just Kaze no Kizu-ed the crap out of the thing. And it was all good.

I think I can get used to this.

So we headed back to the village after our little skirmish. After resting up and having some food, I got to spend some time with Inuyasha.

Despite him being a little rude, he's actually pretty kind-hearted. I asked if I could give him a hand and maybe he could show me some of the plants and foods growing around the area.

An herb by any other smell...

...I guess he didn't really like the smell of the stuff I found. Heh-heh-heh.

(* note - At this point you can choose to spend time with Shippou, Inuyasha, or Kagome. No chance in hell this little Kuro was going to not spend time with Inuyasha. :P He's MY boy.)

Let's work together. Yeah, yeah, yeah!

Damn, but Kagome and I kick total ass! WOOHOO!! This is us, like, showering the world with blue sparklies and killer light from my uber new Shikigami powers! WOOHOOHOO!!

(* note - When you perform combined attacks, you get these really cool little animations that go along with it. Both animation images I've made are composites of the actual screens, so they will look different in the game. ^_^)

KITSUNE... holy HELL, what's that?!

And Shippou and I totally kick ass, too! I guess big things really do come in little packages.

He rules, may I say. He really does.

Now I need to get Inuyasha to let me power up his sword. XD

And the quest continues! I've got to say that I've been enjoying this game MUCH more than I originally thought I would. But to be honest, I think it's been so fun because 1. I AM an RPG fan, and 2. For some reason, this game (in terms of setup and just the sheer cuteness... :P) reminded me of Final Fantasy 9, which is by all accounts my favorite game in the entire known universe. Yeah.

Anyhow. This whole next part of the game brings in to play the relationships your characters build throughout the game. After you return from the first boss battle, which is fighting the kumo-youkai (spider demon) in Akebi Village, you talk in the village for a bit, rest, and eat, and then your good friend Myouga comes to have a chat with you.

Here, you begin to develop relationships with the characters. You can choose to go out and find herbs/food with one of the characters. Naturally, I wanted to go with Inuyasha. Following this, you'll leave Kaede's village and head towards the mountains.

The next village you head for is called Kasasagi Town. (I think the kanji means "magpie.") The path there takes you through the woods, and along the way, you'll learn some new abilities with your friends. I ended up learning one attack with Shippou, and another with Kagome.

Following that, you make your way to the supply town, which is where things begin to get a little interesting... ^_^
