There's something wrong with this place...

In the next town, we all noticed something rather forboding in the atmosphere... There seemed to be something wrong inside the castle.

It was sure a pain to get those people to let us in. Eventually we got in, though. And wouldn't you know it, the place is infested with youkai!

Knock, knock! ...who's there?

Once we got into the castle, we noticed an injured man at the door. Several townspeople were stranded in the castle.

So, as usual, we went to go and help them.

(* note - In this mission, you are asked to save 30 people. I'm not exactly sure what happens IF you save all 30. Or even if there are 30...)

The interior decorating gives me the creeps...

And now we're face-to-face with the creep behind it all. Naraku, you terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad person, you!!

Time to slaugter him! WOOWOO!!

But... who the heck is this Utsugi person? o_O! Un oh. *plot thickens music*

Naraku, you scum!

Damn that Naraku and his uber-barriers!!

(* note - Yep, true to the manga :P, Naraku has an inpenitrable barrier that you can't beat. And when I say you can't beat it, you really... can't beat it. So don't waste your energy, just attack and let the story continue... XD )

... but no Tom Cruise as the Last Samurai?

...now this is just Evil. Naraku is manipulating the soldiers...!

And we get our asses whipped!!

INUYASHA: ......DAMMIT!!!!

There are actually several things that you go through during the next part of the game, but I didn't take screenshots of quite a big chunk of it, and it's a bit to remember and talk about. Eh, I'll try and dig up what I DID take screens of and try to remember from there.

In the next stretch of gameplay, I spent more time than was probably necessary in the forest on my way to the next town. So I ended up getting several more combination attacks, and again I see the attacks developing the fastest between the characters that have paired off in the interaction time. So that means Kuro and Inuaysha (booyaka!), Kagome and Miroku (surprised?), and Sango and Miroku.

Anyhow, the rest of the fighting is pretty standard. I'll just skip ahead and go straight to more character meetings in this area.

In the next town, Jouka Village, you'll have to meet get a few items from the villagers before continuing. I didn't write down exactly what the items were, but the first, you'll need to get from the women outside of the inn to the right of the town entrance. The next you'll get from a boy who is also standing next to the same inn.

Anyhow, following that, I also remember not being sure what to do, so I wandered in the village, talking to everyone, and looking for for the way to make these stuipd people let me in the castle. Finally found the guy I was supposed to talk to BACK at the inn (duh!) and then the next mission inside the castle begins.

Here you have to try to save 30 people trapped inside the castle, which seems to be plagued by youkai. I saved 27, so you don't need to save 30 to continue on. I actually plan to go back and replay that part to see what happens IF you do save 30 people...

Next is a Naraku battle. This one you just play out and, well, as said above, you get your butt whipped, and wake up from unconsciousness in Rindou Village...
