She'll be comin' round the mountian...

So in order to break Naraku's barrier, we're sent up into the mountains to find a special tree. Of course, we all know that this isn't going to be easy.

But hey, it was nice scenery along the way... AND Shippou got a workout. XD

There IS no barrier!

We meet up with the old man who's been teaching me about my shikigami skills. It's amazing how people like him show up just when you need him, isn't it?

Heh-heh. So once again, my shikigami skills are kicked up a notch.

BAM!!!

Smells like a wet Inu...

...I can't even begin to try to explain this one.

(* note - can we say "FANSERVICE?!" XD I wonder what the scenes with Inuyasha play out like if you choose the boy character...)

Look, mom! He followed me home!

Can I keep him? Hehe.

I got separated from Inuyasha and the others when we returned to Naraku's castle. But I ended up meeting another guy with long, silver hair and golden eyes.

He's like a little lost puppy!

(* note - Yes, Sesshoumaru is actually "lost" in this part of the story and you get to help him out. Weird, yes. Fun, definitely!)

Jaken! HAH!!

XD Gee, even toads kick ass in the Sengoku Jidai...

This guy and his toad minion totally kick ass in battle. I guess I'm REALLY lucky that he's kind of... on MY side, aren't I?

Game, set, MATCH!

Like I said, he totally kicks ass. o_O

Wow, I guess they really ARE related!

No wonder this guy is cute and kicks ass. Kagome tells me that he's Inuyasha's older brother.

...Duh, I should have seen that coming.

After meeting up once again with Inuyasha and the others, Sesshoumaru took his leave of us. Man of very few words, I suppose.

This next part I literally blasted through because it turned out to be pretty fun. You wake up in the next town. Everyone seems a bit down, knowing that Naraku has basically kicked your butt. After this, though you once again meet the old man who has been teaching you your shikigami magic, and you try to learn how to make your shikigami break through Naraku's barrier.

The next stage sends you into Mount Houou (yeah... "HouOUUu-zen!!"). The trek in the mountains is pretty straightforward; you just find a tree up top and head back down. Once you clear that stage, you go back to Rindou and receive the power to break barriers. ...I guess Inuyasha's Red Tessaiga doesn't play a role in this adventure. At least, not yet. I wonder if he ever does learn the Red Tessaiga attack...?

Next, you go back to the castle at Jouka-machi to confront Naraku again. The first thing you'll notice is that the place is in ruins. You'll have one boss battle with Kagura, and then when you get to the castle again, this is where many fangirls will go nuts.

You get separated from your party and end up wandering the castle alone.

You meet Sesshoumaru.

Yep.

Sesshoumaru.

In all his chibified glory.

And you get to fight with him on our party. This part of the story is a bit OOC, I know, but still. It's fun. Sesshoumaru got lost in the castle and you offer to help him. In return, he'll protect you. I just... well, it's for the sake of the game, right?! XD It's FUN!!! Anyhow, Sesshoumaru is ridiculously powered up, and literally can't be killed. <_< Which is all good, since it's fun fighting with him. Heh-heh. One of his attacks is "JAKEN!" And the little guy comes out and barbecues everyone! WOOHOO!
