What better thing to do when you have a cold/flu than to veg out and play video games? Heh-heh. Unfortunately, that also means that, again, there's a bit about last week's game session that I wasn't totally in the mood to write out... so I'll just try to get the jist of it here. Two more main plot elements happen again after this. I'll probably need to go back and replay this part of the game again to really refresh my memory of the details, since it was almost two weeks ago. Following your encounter with Sesshoumaru in Naraku's castle, you rejoin Inuyasha-tachi and naturally Inuyasha is all up-and-at-em and wanting to kick Naraku's ass. You go to a nearby forest and settlement (called Ayame Village, which is located right next to the forest of the Yourouzoku. And given that hint, you guessed it, you end up meeting KOUGA! XD THE YASEE OOKAMI!! WOOHOO! And yes, you can imagine that the Inu/Kouga rivalry does come into play a bit, although for reasons unknown, Kouga isn't quite as funny in this game (to me) as he is in the series. Anyhow, he accuses your character of attacking his tribe. ("Eh?" says I...) and when he and Inuyasha start trading blows, Kagome gets in between then, and ends up getting semi-kidnapped by Kouga (I say semi-kidnapped because if I heard correctly she agreed to go, just... reluctantly) to try to figure out what's going on, which royally pisses off the hanyou. So for this part of the game, you're Kagome-less. And I don't know if it was just me, but Inuyasha seemed to get more misses during the random battles. Maybe that was just my imagination. Anyhow. You end up chasing Kouga's people through the woods (the way you end up following them is rather funny), and Kagome rejoins you as you confront the wolves about the attacks. Something weird definitely IS going on... There's also a point again where you have more character interaction. I picked Inuyasha again. XD After that, you have one more confrontation in a swamp with Kagura and Utsugi... and at this point, you start to find out more about Utsugi. The biggest thing here is that you break off Utsugi's mask and realize... IT'S YOUR OWN FACE!! AAaAAhHHHH!!!! *scary music* After this battle you end up getting kidnapped by Kagura. Then you get to play Dress-Up with Naraku! Heh-heh. To try to escape, you find Utsugi's mask (gee, Naraku really IS careless to leave everything just lying around, eh?), and in disguise, you wind up having to run a few errands for Naraku. One errand is to kidnap Rin. So why does your character get ordered to kidnap Rin? In order to lure Sesshoumaru to the castle, of course. And it works. Inuyasha and the others, worried for your saftey, come to rescue you , Sesshoumaru comes to rescue Rin, and we all go, "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" There's a little more that happens between this stage and the next, but I'll go ahead and just skip ahead to the next part that got me all giddy... :P |
