The battle between Kouga and Naraku, however, continues. Naraku slams a hug arm of kongousouha shards into the rocks below Kouga. Kouga, with the Goraishi still at the ready, leaps up above him.

Heh, I have no idea when they're coming, so how can I depend on Dog-Breath!

Naraku once again attacks with a Kongousouha arm, trying to surround Kouga with its fingerlike tendrils...

.oO( If you just let your Shikon fragments get taken like this, you'll die needlessly... )

Suddenly, Kikyou notices something; her eyes widen in surprise

And a wide panel of Naraku and Kikyou shows that Naraku (whose face is hidden in darkness as he's turned away/looking down) is holding Kikyou in his right arm, which has turned into a mass of clawlike tentacles, and has impaled Kikyou through the chest and around her body...
