Inuyasha: Guren no Houraijima

The theatrical release of Inuyasha: Guren no Houraijima did not include a short epilogue scene that takes place following the closing credits; this epilogue is instead included in the official DVD release of the movie from Shogakukan.

RIN (off)
Sesshoumaru-sama!! Sesshoumaru-sama!! Where'd you go off to?
Say, won't you tell me? Sesshoumaru-sama!

[wider view of the group walking]

JAKEN
Look here, Rin. Can't you see Sesshoumaru-sama is telling you to mind your own business.

RIN
But, I want to know all the stuff he was up to!!

[Seshoumaru, not seeming to be paying any attention to the two, walks off.]
[Rin runs after him, knocking Jaken over and leaving him as she chases after Sesshoumaru.]

RIN
Ah! Sesshoumaru-sama, wait~~!

[Scene Change - we're back on the mainland, having returned from Houraijima. Big, open field, overlooking the ocean.]

INUYASHA (off)
You guys need to get ready for this... The outside world of this warring era...

[NOTE: Odd, he uses "sengoku no yo" here; I guess Kagome's been teaching him modern historical references. Unless they used the word "sengoku" back then. Did they?]

INUYASHA
There's youkai that will be after weaker hanyou, more than what were in the mountiain...

ASAGI
You don't need to worry, Inuyasha-nii-chan!!

SHION
Yeah. We'll be alright.

ROKU
We'll survive just fine, ya know!!

DAI
Inuyasha can do it, so it's not like we can't do it, either.

INU-IKKOU
(lookin' all happy and stuff...)

SANGO
You're going to be careful not to end up having a demeanor like Inuyasha, aren't you?

SHIPPOU
It really is problematic!

[Inuyasha gives Sango and Shippou an irritated look.]

MOEGI
I think we'll be able to manage somehow.

AI
Just like how Inuyasha-nii-chan didn't give up, we'll be strong!!

KAGOME
I'm sure the children will be fine. After all, they went up against those Shitoshin!

INUYASHA
I know that much.

ASAGI
Inuyasha-nii-chan...

INUYASHA
...hm?

ASAGI
I really wanna thank you... we're not going to forget about you!

INUYASHA
.... uh.... ri.... right.
(embarrased look)

SHIPPOU
He's being embarassed....

[View of the children, leaving into the distance, as they head off to their future...]

HANYOU-TACHI
Goodbye!! And thank you!!

[View of the Inu-ikkou. Shippou now sports a huge bump on his head from being whacked by Inuyasha, it seems...]

MIROKU
So then, Inuyasha... shall we get going, as well?

[The others turn to leave, but Inuyasha gives the children one last glance, being the last to turn to go...]

INUYASHA
Yeah...

[Pan up to the sky, and Fade Out.]
