Crossdiver!
Had Been Alter Too Much!

Kappei
Yamaguchi is an absolute riot. He and Seki Tomokazu are friggen'
NUTS!! And what can I say, that's what I totally love about
the boys. XD
We
headed down to Sun Mall Theater in Shinjuku yesterday to check
out his new play, Go
Ahead! Crossdiver!! Had Been Alter Too Much. And
no, I did not mistype that, it's really called "Crossdiver!!
Had Been Alter Too Much." ^_^; This was a stage
play put on by Seki's theater group, Herohero-Q,
so Kappei himself was slapped all over the play to promote it,
and he had a major role, but the shining star was, quite naturally,
Seki.
For
those of you who might be curious as to Seki Tomokazu is, he's
another popular seiyuu here in J-land, and he and Kappei are
pretty much known to be good buddies (the two of them, along
with Takagi Wataru, also had a theatrical group called "Sannin-kai"
-- some of their plays are hilarious!)
Seki has had a hand in the Inuyasha universe, too, as Menomaru
in Inuyasha: Toki o Koeru
Omoi.
Anyhow,
it was certainly a wonderful thing to get to see Kappei in action
again, this time in a real performance. So watching him act
like a maniacal "leader of the heaven clan," and sweat
buckets, was quite the experience. XD It was too bad that his
character, Kronos, wasn't featured as much as some of the others,
but either way... It's Kappei. He made sure that when he was
onstage, he stole the scene. XD "Wheee! I can fly! Watch
this! WOOOwOOOOoo!" (I kid you not.)
I
also found a new fondness for Seki, but we'll never forsake
the Love Of the Pei. I mean, look at how cute he is!! How can
you not love this boy?! Haha.

And,
I think it's a running gag that in his plays, someone has to
poke fun at how short he is. *LOL* Don't worry, though, Kappei...
I can totally sympathize. ^_^
I
swear, I did not shut up about how dang hilarious and totally
insane the play was when I got home. The only way to put it
is, "Crossdiver! is not a play you can really describe
in words. It's a play that you have to reenact!!"
Seriously. It is. XD
I
was doing Daaburu-Roketto-Panchi-Tsuu recreations for
days. Thank you, boys, you've turned me into a Kikaida-wannabe...
What
I Wouldn't GIVE for a Sango character song... >.<

Naraku
singing is, hands-down, THE freakiest thing I think I have EVER
heard. XD But Toshiyuki Morikawa rocks my world by default,
no matter what he does... I swear, he could read a phone book
and make it sound so...... very...... shmexxeh. XD But I seriously
think I need to take a long, cold shower every time I listen
to that single. Becuase sends shivers down mah spine, it does.
That
being said, however, the three new character songs pretty much
kept me quite distracted today. XD So apologies if the translations
are late.
But
of course, there's just one thing I have to say.
WHY
DON'T WE HAVE A SANGO CHARACTER SINGLE YET, AND WHOSE KNEECAPS
MUST I GNAW OFF TO GET ONE??!! *LOL*
Seriously,
though, I know quite a few fans are also in agreement with me;
I've been getting many a Houko Kuwashima album since I found
out that, well, she had such an incredibly heavenly singing
voice. And all I can say is, Sango NEEDS to have a character
single before they decide to stop making character singles!
:D
And
I wouldn't mind another Inuyasha single.... or three. Heh-heh.

And
a Happy New Year, and best wishes for 2006 to everyone!! It's
been a very busy few weeks/months here, just trying to keep
up with new year's activities and making sure everything is
done in time for the holidays. I think I had some of the most
wonderful experiences over the last year, and even the beginning
of this year shows no signs of slowing down.
Here's
kicking off the Year of the Dog!! ^_^
Celebration-wise,
Roy and I met up with some friends and did the most insane thing
we could think of... we decided to go templehopping and do our
hatsumode (first temple-visit of the year) ON New Year's
Eve through New Year's Day. So we trekked it out to Asakusa's
Sosenji temple and made sure we were there to hear the temple
bells begin ringing at exactly 12:01am.
Call
me a total dork, but the sound of the temple bells ringing was
even more surreal and exciting that I ever thought it would
be. Traditionally, the bell rings 108 times. We waited to head
up to the temple to offer our respects (and THAT in itself was
quite an experience...) and then went around to the various
stalls set up around the grounds for food and drink. Ahhh...
nothing like roasted corn, yakitori, and amezaki (sweet,
warmed sake) to enjoy on New Year's morning. *L*

The
next day, we headed out to the Meiji Jingu in Yoyogi/Harajuku,
and then Kanda-myoujin in Ochanomizu/Akihabara. Quite the day,
and well worth it. ^_^
Akemashite
Omedetou Gozaimasu!! Kotoshi mo yoroshiku onegai shimasu.
Happy New Year!! Once again, all the best to everyone for 2006.
